The Kelpies
Departing Edinburgh beside the stunning Edinburgh Castle, we journey north, past Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and the seat of Scottish Royalty, towards the awe inspiring Kelpies. These colossal statues of the mythical ‘Water Horses’ are the largest in the world and a place rich with Scottish legend and mythology.

Your adventure now takes you through ‘Rob Roy Country’ past the Lake of Menteith towards the stunning Trossachs National Park, known throughout Scotland as ‘The Highlands in Miniature’ for its captivating beauty.
Finally, we arrive at Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond, ‘The Queen of Scottish Lochs‘, where we will walk the Fairy Trail (ideal for those with children). An unforgettable part of this wonderful journey!

At Loch Lomond, you have the option to stay at Balloch and take a Loch Lomond Boat Cruise and live an incredible experience in what people consider the most beautiful loch of Scotland.

Town of Stirling
As an alternative to touring the castle, you are free to tour the wonderful Old Town of Stirling itself. Visit the beautiful medieval Church of the Holy Rude, Stirling Cemetery and the ruins of Mar’s Wark, or tour around the walls of the castle itself.
There are so many things o see and do in Stirling, but an hour and a half should be enough to see some of the most impressive sights and soak in the incredible atmosphere.

Old Stirling Bridge
On the way to Edinburgh, stop by the famous Stirling Bridge, where our national hero William Wallace struck the first blow for Scottish independence. Hear the tale of ‘The Outlaw King’ and walk the famous bridge in the shadow of the towering Wallace Monument and hear the tale of Scotland’s Braveheart.

Arrival at Edinburgh
At the end of this incredible day, filled with stories of myths and legends, heroes, outlaws, battles, castles, kings and of course, the Queen of the Lochs herself, we arrive back into the vibrant heart of Edinburgh and stop in front of Edinburgh Castle for an incredible photo to remember.
Beneath the gaze of the guardian statues of our heroes, Wallace and Bruce, whose images stand side by side at the castle gates. Here, as we say goodbye, take the chance to drop into Edinburgh’s most famous gift shop and buy a wonderful memento of your day of adventure. A perfect end to this wonderful tour!
