Types of accommodation

Here, we explain the options and prices of each type of accommodation according to the season:

HOSTEL - £25-28 per person per night

Between £25-£28 per person per night.

Type of rooms:

Bed in shared dormitory, from 4-12 people. You can choose between the following:

  • Mixed / Unisex 
  • Female only
  • Male only

*Please note that these are subject to availability depending on the hostel/season.

Description:

Beds are in shared rooms or dormitories of from 4-12 beds, typically with a kitchen / dining room where you can cook and eat, and shared bathrooms. Breakfast is not included, although some hostels may offer a continental-style breakfast option for a small charge. Towels may be rented at reception.

BED & BREAKFAST - £40-60 per person per night

Price:

Between £40-60 per person per night.

Single rooms may have an additional £10-£20 supplement per night.

Type of Accommodation:

Average: own bedroom, typically with own bathroom, breakfast included.

Type of Rooms:

  • Single Room: Single bed
  • Double Room: Double bed
  • Twin Room: Two single beds
  • Family Room: Double bed plus 1-2 single beds

Description:

A Bed & Breakfast is typically a guest house or similar, or else a more modern ‘AirBnB’ style arrangement within a family home with a warm, friendly atmosphere, more pleasant than in some hotels. Most rooms have a TV, tea & coffee facilities, private bathrooms with towels provided, and breakfast is included in the rate. This can vary from the traditional “Full Scottish” to Continental style.

The hotels in Inverness are typically 3* with some 4* options available, with own room, TV, tea & coffee facilities, towels and washing essentials, a bar and / or restaurant and breakfast included or optional.

How to book your accommodation

The accommodation is not included in the price of the tour, in order to offer you a choice on the final price without added costs. During the booking process of your tour we will give you two options:

Reserve your own accommodationIf you select this option, simply make sure that your accommodation is located less than 2 km from the centre of our overnight stop so that we can take you and pick you up from that place. During the reservation, please enter the address and name of your chosen accommodation.
