Are the tours in English or Spanish?

All our tours are with guides in English.

Where is the departure point?

Our meeting point for all our tours is the Lawnmarket Bus Stop (Royal Mile).

310 Lawnmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2PH

Next to Deacon’s Hose Cafe.

IMPORTANT: arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before your departure as due to time restrictions we cannot wait for any passengers. Click here to see the departure point.

What is included in the tour?

Our tours include:

  • Transportation.
  • Professional driver-guide.
What is not included in the tour?

Our tours do not include:

  • Food and drink.
  • Attraction fees (ie: castles, cruises..)
What do I have to bring with me?

Scottish weather can be very unpredictable. In fact they say that it is one of the few countries where you can see the four seasons in one day. We recommend that you bring comfortable and appropriate footwear without forgetting the warm and waterproof clothes. But the most important thing. Remember to bring your camera, because you will photograph some of the most beautiful landscapes you have ever seen!

Do I need to bring my own food?

To give you as much freedom as possible, our lunchtime stops will be in places where you can choose between restaurants, cafes or supermarkets. On the other hand, if you want to bring your food you are more than welcome.

Can children travel?

Of course. You can travel with your children between the age between 5 and 15 years who will qualify for the concession fee. Unfortunately, we regret not being able to take children under 5 years old on our regular tours.

In the case of our private tours you can travel with children under 5 years old. We have special child seats for these cases.

Do you offer collection from the hotel?

Regular tours

To guarantee a quick departure and a trip at the best price we will pick you up only from our starting point. Edinburgh has some of the best public transport in the world and it will be very easy to find us. We are in the heart of the Royal Mile. See departure point.

Private tours

We pick you up at your accommodation.

Can I reserve seats?

Due to logistics we do not reserve seats. But do not worry, you can see the incredible scenery from any part of the bus.

Are extra activities included?

We do not include any of the extra activities to give you the option of tailoring your trip and have total control of your experience. But remember that if you want additional activities we can arrange a discounted price.

In what type of vehicle will tours take place?

The tour will take place in vehicles with a maximum of 16 seats equipped with the latest safety devices.

Do vehicles have a toilet?

Our vehicles do not have a toilet, however, do not worry, we will make frequent stops along your adventure with us.

Can I take luggage with me?

In our multi-day tours your luggage allowance is one medium-sized suitcase and a handbag.

If you need to take luggage with you on our 1-day tours please get in touch with us to discuss this possibility.

Is there a minimum number of people for each tour?

The minimum number of passengers for a tour to depart is 4. In the case of If we have less than 4 people, we will give you two options:

  • You can choose another tour of your interest on the same or different day.
  • We will issue you with a full refund.
Should I give a tip to the guide or driver?

If they have done an excellent job and you think it is necessary, they will be very grateful.

Are the arrival times guaranteed?

Due to factors beyond our control, we cannot guarantee the return times. Please keep this in mind if you have connections on your trip.

If this is something that may concern you, we advise you to purchase travel insurance. Contact us if you need more information. We are happy to assist you with your questions.

Do you have systems for reduced mobility in your vehicles?

We regret to inform you that the vehicles destined for our rours from Edinburgh do not have these systems.

Reservation and payment process

Is the payment secure?

Online payment and by phone is 100% secure and encrypted against fraud or unauthorised transactions. In addition, we do not have access to your credit card information.

We are certified under a Comodo SSL protocol of 2048 bits.

How can I book my tour?

Regular Tours:

  • Online: through our website. We recommend this way since it is very easy and fast. You can pay with any credit or debit card. Simply click on Reserve Now, select your desired date and number of people and enter a payment method. Easy and simple and 100% secure.
  • By phone: at +44 (0) 131 2020 9020 with one of our team members using a credit or debit card.

Private Tours:

We will send you an invoice to make a deposit or pay the total amount. You can pay by credit / debit card or PayPal.

Is my reservation confirmed instantly?

Tours will be confirmed instantly upon completion of your reservation. You will receive an automatic confirmation message in your email with the receipt of the payment and details of the tour.

Can I choose the concession prices?

Our concession prices are for students, children between 5 and 15 years old and people over 65.

Do I need to print the receipt?

You do not need to print your receipt. We will simply ask you for your name when you arrive at the tour meeting point.

Is it possible to make the reservation and pay for everything in the destination?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to guarantee and reserve any place without first making a partial (private tours) or total payment (regular tours).

Can I change my reservation?
  • 1 day toursIf you wish to modify your reservation you will need to do so with a minimum notice of 3 days. This will be done without administrative charges.
  • Multi-day toursYou will need to notify us with a minimum of 10 days. This amendment will be done without administrative charges.
  • Private tours. You must notify us 10 days in advance to have the necessary time to accommodate your new schedule or itinerary.

We regret that changes are not always possible, however, we will always do our best to be flexible where we can, even if changes are outside the minimum period of time.

Private tours

What is the difference between a private and a regular tour?

On our regular tours reservations are open to the public so that anyone can book and go to the activity.

Our private trips are for closed groups. You will enjoy a vehicle, driver/guide and an exclusive itinerary for you.

What is the price of a private tour?

The price of a private tour depends a lot on the type of service and its duration. In general, they have a higher price than our regular ones, especially in the case of small groups.

This is because the vehicle and guide costs are the same for a person than for larger groups.

In the case of larger groups the price will be similar to or lower than a regular tour.

Is there a minimum number of people to do a private tour?

We do not have a minimum number. We can do a private tour for both one person up to larger groups.

Accommodation

Is the accommodation included in the price?

Your accommodation is not included in the price of the tour to offer you the best price and personalised service.

We give you two options:

  1. We can help you to arrange the accommodation based on your preferences. You can tell us so in the booking form.
  2. You can book your own accommodation and tell us during your booking.
What accommodation options can I choose?

Category of accommodation:

  • Basic – Hostel.
  • Medium – Hotel and Bed & Breakfast.
  • Superior – Hotel and Bed & Breakfast.

Type of room:

  • Shared (hostel).
  • Single*
  • Double.
  • Twin (two beds).
  • Triple.

*Reservations for single rooms will have an extra charge.

What happens if my accommodation preference is not available?

We will ask for a second accommodation option in the event that the first one is not available.

Sometimes, as in high season, your first accommodation preference may not be available. In this case we will choose your second one. If the occasion were not available, we would contact you to find the best solution.

Due to these circumstances, we advise you to make a reservation as soon as possible.

Cancellations

Can I cancel my reservation?

What is the cancellation policy?

1 day tours:

  • For cancellations with 3 days notice, the total amount of the activity will be refunded.
  • If the cancellation occurs within the previous three days of the excursion, there will be no compensation.

Multi-day tours:

  • For cancellations with 10 days notice, the total amount of the activity will be refunded.
  • If the cancellation occurs within the ten days prior to the excursion, there will be no refund.
  • There may be the occasion that you have to cover the cost of the accommodation even if you have notified us 10 days in advance. This is very unlikely and we will do everything possible to prevent this from happening.

Private tours:

  • For cancellations with 10 days notice, the total amount of the activity will be refunded.
  • If the cancellation occurs within the seven days prior to the excursion, there will be no refund.
  • It may be possible to cover the cost of the accommodation even if you have notified 10 days in advance.
How will you refund the amount of the activity?

We will refund the amount through the same form of payment in which the reservation was made.
